Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all our family and friends,

We can’t believe another year has past. Life is always so fast paced. We continue to ask the Lord to help us slow down and see Christ in the chaos. We have enjoyed studying God’s Word together and growing in his knowledge. What a gift he has given us. Our home school journey has been a wonderful experience. We love to see the daily growth. We find it so rewarding to sit by the kids and hear what they are learning.
Matt continues to be a Principal and teaches some classes at a University. We thank the Lord for providing for our needs.
Valerie teaches the five children throughout the day and manages the home. She started teaching dance three hours a week at her mom’s studio. She continues to head up the home school program at the Christian School.
Madi is growing into a beautiful young lady. She is 8 years old. She loves the Lord. When asked what she wanted for Christmas, she responded with …”I have the Holy Spirit living in me, what more do I need?” She has had another year of doctor’s appointments. Her MRI’s have been clear; her growth is minimal; her eyes have improved, her physical strength and coordination gets better each day; and her neurological testing shows us that she has some delays but will be able to learn. “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things. Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory!" Psalm 72:18-19
Hunter is 6 years old. He enjoys life. He is excited to learn and do everything. He loves to be with his family and friends. He loves to build and explore. He is mommy’s right hand man and daddy’s shadow. He has such a wonderful personality. We enjoy watching him grow in the Lord.
Macy is 3 years old (almost 4). She is growing up so fast. She is a girly girl. Pink and purple, baby dolls, nail polish, curls, dancing and singing are a few words to describe her. She loves life. She is always giggling. She is very loving to all of us.
Parker and Cooper are almost 2. These boys have been so active during this year, that we don’t even know where to begin… climbing on their dresser, sticking 8 marbles and a thimble in their mouths all at once, staying warm in the dryer, jumping off their beds, standing on the dining table and swinging the chandelier, unplugging night lights… I think they have tried just about everything. They love to keep daddy and mommy busy, but they are so much fun.

“By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established;
by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches." Proverbs 24:3-4
We look forward to the celebration of the birth of Jesus. The actual celebration of the day is exciting for us all as we have waited for Christmas day. The birth of Christ happened 2000 years ago, but we know that his manifestation in the world must be through us. We sit and listen. We have only a few more days left of waiting, preparation and arrival. We pray that in the busy, in the messy, in the giving, in the unexpected that Christmas may be found through the Person of Jesus Christ. We are His light to shine for Him.
We hope you have a Blessed Christmas and a wonderful 2010.
