Our Woodpecker
We learn a lot about nature. We have the time to study and observe God's creation. It is fun to see the kids find bugs and rocks. During our Soccer lesson, we heard a knocking sound. We all ran to the tree and started searching for a woodpecker. We found it. We notice that it has been around for a while. Who knew!Grandpa tells us that the Woodpecker is a Ladder Back. Now that we are home, we notice a lot of things that used to go unnoticed.

that is beautiful...taylor has an ecology class at college this semester and next...he is out all the time bird watching and tree naming etc......he loves it!!! he's learning a lot being outside so much........:)
That's a great looking picture!! How exciting. We have a ton of birds at our feeder right now. Guess they are all stocking up for the winter. Nature is by far our favorite subject. ;-)
