I am so proud of Madi and Hunter. On Saturday, April 6th, they passed the Karate test to receive their yellow belt. We first started Karate in the summer. Madi needed to strengthen her muscles and Hunter needed an activity to do. When Madi started, she couldn't even stand up from a sitting position without help. Now she is punching, kicking, doing push-ups and sit-ups. She has worked so hard. Hunter is a natural. He enjoys Karate and smiles the entire time. The martial arts they are studying is "Christian Martial Arts". Mr. Lacee (instructor) teaches the students Christian character, bible verses, and karate. We loved working toward the goal of yellow belt and look forward to many more.

How exciting! My daughter would love karate. I've never heard of a christian karate group. I'll have to look into that.
I'm glad you stopped by my blog! It is always exciting to hear of another CA homeschooler. I have heard of SOTW but I haven't used it. I've heard wonderful things about it though.

They are so cute! Does your mom still teach gymnastics? I want to get Ethan some lessons. I don't know if he's too young though. If you have any information about it I'd really appreciate it. How old do you have to be in karate? Talk to you soon.
