Madi was the "Angel of Hope" for our town's Relay for Life. What a joy to see her alive and healthy. She had the opportunity to share her story and walk the survivor lap. As I watched the slide show, I was reminded how temporary life is and how we should live as if this could be our last day. Age doesn't matter. Each picture showed babies to great-grandparents who died this year. So many days go by where I will put things off or look forward to a new day tomorrow. James 4:13-16 says, "Now listen, you who say,'Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.' Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, 'If it is the Lord's will , we will live and do this or that.' As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins." From the time I wake up to the time I go to bed, I need to live expecting Christ's return. I need to enjoy the family he has given me, share Christ with others, look at who I come in contact with as an appointment from God. There is no better time than now to make the most of this day God has given me.
To my children. In our daily living, may we do everything to the centrality of CHRIST!

Hi there, my name is Jaimee and I met your best friend Debbie in Guatemala while we were in the process of adopting our daughters. She sent me a link to your blog as one I might want to read. If you don't mind, I'd love to link it on my blog. You have such a beautiful family and I'm so happy to hear that your daughter Madi is cancer free. God is good! I'll check back often and if you want, you can check my blog:
